Jordi Puntí i Garriga (Manlleu, Barcelona; 1967) is a Spanish writer, columnist and translator. He has a degree in Romance Philology, and he has worked for various publishers (such Edicions 62, Quaderns Crema or Columna Edicions). Also, he has worked in various media: El País, El Periódico de Catalunya, etc.〔(Jordi Puntí at Traces (Autonomous University of Barcelona) )〕 He began his career as published author with two books of short stories: ''Pell d'Armadillo'' (1988), which he won the Premi de la Crítica Serra d'Or, and Animals tristos (2002). Previously, he had translated authors like Paul Auster, Daniel Pennac or Amélie Nothomb. In 2010, Puntí publishes ''Maletes perdudes'', which he won several awards such as ''Crítica de la narrativa catalana'', ''Lletra d'Or'' or ''Premi Llibreter''. Next year, he publishes ''Els Castellans'', a volume that includes articles previously published in the Catalan magazine ''L'Avenç''.
